Aircel is a joint venture between Maxis Communications Berhad of Malaysia and Apollo Hospital Enterprise Ltd of India. It started operations in the year 1999. In a short span of 18 months since 2007, Aircel has expanded its reach from 10 telecom circle to 18 circles out of the total 23 circles. Moreover, it has licenses secured for the remaining 5 telecom circles. This quick transformation involved consolidation of Aircel’s 5 separate datacenters into 1 single datacenter to control operations all over Aircel’s network.
