K Ganesh was simply at his charming best. The founder of TutorVista and a serial entrepreneur made some no-nonsense commentary on being an entrepreneur. Without wasting much bytes let me come to his key tenets:
- You should consider giving equity share only when others are willing to share in your risk.
- Fail sepctacularly. Have a grand vision. Do not fail silently.
- The dilemma is to go for the profits or scale. The decision is based on your stomach for higher risks.
- If you are AN entrepreneur everyone is your master. So don't come here if you simply want to be your own master.
TutorVista runs 2000 teachers out of from 125 cities all catering to students in US. They did not come here with a hop skip and jump. Check this interview Dare had done in 2008.
