National Tiger Conservation Authority overlooks the "Project Tiger Scheme", which was launched in 1973 as a centrally sponsored scheme of Government of India.
Tiger is the national animal of India and is a major concern of attention as it is one of the key factor for maintaining ecological balance of the nature.
A new project having potential of IT usage is being considered. It is called "Tiger Atlas of India". This project might involve:
1. Mapping , data acquisition and GIS modeling.
2. Field data collection and validation
3. Data Maintenance, dissemination and use
To achieve this objective, great deal of software and hardware would be needed. Business opportunities in R&D, software development, data collection, data testing, and hardware are on anvil--precision and high-quality expertise could be the demand. Are you ready to face the Tiger?
