despite recession, Readymade garment business has huge scope. variety in garment business will improve the business. the pictures represent a scope for customized product manufacturing. the picture also represent the scope for building interiros designing, fixtures business for shopping malls. there is big scope for garment Franchising. it also represent housekeeping business and one stop shopping business.

Buy two get one for girls and buy two get two for boys( who are going to give it as present).(Indirectly increasing the business by capturing the guys, obviously the girls too turn back)

Biggest time consumer in clothes shopping is the omnipresent question "How will this look on me?"
Then you have to go for a trial. These days waiting in queues outside a trial room in a Mall is the worst nightmare that prevents a lot of people from buying something which they have liked in first instance.
Probably IT can help here. How bout having a scanner or photographic device fixed at the shop entrance, which scans the shopper's image and transfers it to a screen. Now when he / she stands in front of the rack, that image is displayed on a screen fixed above the rack. Whichever dress is picked up gives an appropriate signal to the processor and the image is seen wearing that dress.....

But Sure could be a time saver and would boost sales, better than those umpteen trails for sure...........What Say!

All I can see from the picture is that it depicts range of clothing for females by a renowned brand i.e CALVEIN KLEIN.Hence,my business idea is to build a lounge to showcase a wide range of clothing for men and women where there is facility for basic "Make up" for women and "HAIR DO"(men and women both)as complimentary for regular customers.It will be more of a "MINI CLUB" where people can come select their clothes and can enjoy hair do.Moreover in this busy life its a very convenient offer as people after getting ready from here can directly move to their social events,parties etc.This saves time and money both which is the need of today.

Modern people are so busy that they may forget many simple elements in their daily life. Wearing clothes is a daily action. However, if we can just pay attention to some steps, we will get more obvious results. Effective changes are coming. Let's have a look to this article, How Do We Wear "Simple" Clothes?
Women Fashion is an interesting topic, but some people may think it is a difficult problem. Suitable clothes with fashionable design can create your special image, an impression to your friends, relatives, colleagues and boss etc.
Some women and men always spend a long time in updating their educational knowledge in order to fill the inside. They may forget their appearance is also important. It is related to politeness. Learning how to pick up suitable clothes is essential to their figures, outlook, health and even their job prospect.
Apart from the trendy choices, clean appearance is the basic concept we have to keep in mind. Nobody likes to see a woman with dirty clothes. I guess everyone prefers to talk to a woman who looks bright in her clothes.
Also, even if you may not have an angel face, you can still be a very pretty women. How? One little experiment, try wearing, with your friendly smile, a clean and well-ironed dress or simply a T-shirt with one to two fresh colors and patterns, you should be able to get some good experience that day.
Nowadays, men fashion is no longer as simple as a T-shirt and a jean or a formal suit with a tie. As there are choices as many as women can have, men also have to run with the fashion trend.
I wonder if you may notice most of the successful people possess tidy appearance. Certainly, there are exceptions. The majority of them wear ties and suits tidily and properly. Some businessmen spend a lot of money in choosing expensive suits. However, they do not know how to put a good tie knot. Different events, shirts or suits should lead to different knots.
Finally, I would like to make one suggestion to people who like suits. Always remember to iron your suit and shirt well before wearing. The length of the trousers should be long enough. Otherwise, it may affect the whole appearance. Try one a good concept in your mind: Imagine you just had a newly hair cut and walk confidently with your simple suit. I guess this helps more than a more expensive suit.

Some historians observe the frequently changing clothing styles as a distinctively Western habit among urban populations. Changes in costume often took place at times of economic or social change (such as in ancient Rome), but then a long period without large changes followed. In 8th century Cordoba, Spain, Ziryab (a famous musician of that time) is said to have introduced sophisticated clothing styles based on seasonal and daily timings from his native Baghdad and his own inspiration.
The beginnings of the habit in Europe of continual and increasingly rapid change in styles can be fairly reliably dated to the middle of the 14th century, to which historians including James Laver and Fernand Braudel date the start of Western fashion in clothing. The most dramatic manifestation was a sudden drastic shortening and tightening of the male over-garment, from calf-length to barely covering the buttocks, sometimes accompanied with stuffing on the chest to look bigger. This created the distinctive Western male outline of a tailored top worn over leggings or trousers.
The pace of change accelerated considerably in the following century, and women and men's fashion, especially in the dressing and adorning of the hair, became equally complex and changing. Art historians are therefore able to use fashion in dating images with increasing confidence and precision, often within five years in the case of 15th century images. Initially changes in fashion led to a fragmentation of what had previously been very similar styles of dressing across the upper classes of Europe, and the development of distinctive national styles, which remained very different until a counter-movement in the 17th to 18th centuries imposed similar styles once again, finally those from Ancien Régime in France.[3]:317-24 Though the rich usually led fashion, the increasing affluence of early modern Europe led to the bourgeoisie and even peasants following trends at a distance sometimes uncomfortably close for the elites - a factor Braudel regards as one of the main motors of changing fashion.[3]:313-15 The fashions of the West are generally unparalleled either in antiquity or in the other great civilizations of the world. The “Spanish style” of the end of the century began the move back to synchronicity among upper-class Europeans, and after a struggle in the mid 17th century, French styles decisively took over leadership, a process completed in the 18th century.

Clothes are generally meant to cover our body and protect it. Then came Fashion & haute couture. Rest is history. Every person on this terra firma is dying desperately to get his/her identity; especially through the clothes they wear.The optimum mix of colour, the right style and the fashion bug are the ingredients that go in making a great dress. Add some marketing techniques and sprinke some celeb-magic & the outfit sells like hot-cake.Give some discount coupons and put a "SALE" banner and again the crowd rushes in.
Eco clothes, Clothes for a cause, Colourful fancy clothes to attract bees, Borrow-the-dress-for-a-day,Second-hand dresses, Sew-your-own dress are all passe.
As a fashion enthusiast, I loathe even the concept of buying clothes from Online stores.
And Virtual stores.. nevermind!
If we do all kind of marketing researches, then finally we conclude that "Fashion is all about identity; differentiating us from the hoi polloi and making a statement". So why not stick to the core: Make Clothes only for 'You' but in an innovative way.
The "YOU" Concept: We will not only give our customers a dress, but a wholesome experience. We will take larger retail outlets than the others. And we will stock minimal clothing but with 15-20 fashion experts in the hall. Each dress/cloth would be hung on a brightly lit space and not stuffed.Indians are going for luxury products; lets give them a fine taste of it. As the customer enters the retail shop, he or she is treated like a king/queen inside the shop. A fashion assistant/designer/helper immediately goes to the customer and greets him/her.The customer might share his/her choices/desires/aspirations from the appral-store with the assistant. The expert assistant enquires about the choice of colour, size, choice of monograms, fashion accessories from the customer and also guides them.If the demands could be fulfilled within the waiting period of the customer in the apparal-store, it is delivered to the customer right away or else the address of the customer is noted and it is delivered within 24 hours.
There would be minimal customers in the start but pareto's rule will hold good.Plus Luxury will be re-defined.And outside the retail shop only two words will suffice : "YOU"..Dare!! (DARE: Drugs are really expensive.)

Tie up with major SunScreen manufacturer, offer small packs free with garment purchase & provide counter / shelf space to sun screen manufacturer inside garment chain.

Here comes the garment shop which has a wide range of dresses, with all the Branded wear . Every customer during his first trip to the shop would be digitally photographed and a 3d human shape model corresponding to his physique will be formed(this is my final year BE project). Once the modelling is done each customer would be given a customer id/card .
Once all such formalities are over , The Real Shopping Experience begins . WE would store images of dresses as 3d models too . Imagine a shop where one can get the clothes exactly as one wants them to be.Why compromise on size, color or design.
A shop that makes clothes buying transform from a functional industry to an emotional industry.
The customers design their clothes not with the help of salesmen who don't know much about clothing but with the help of fashion graduates.
STEP 1 :Fashion graduates will help the customer to select the color which will suit their skin color and requirement.

STEP 5: Give their exact measurements so they don't have to compromise with prefixed sizes which never fit perfectly.

Business of manufacturing and distribution of DISMANTABLE CLOTHES, which can be wore according to the situation/need. During normal daytime or in office/school/college use it as a shirt (full or half hand), during engaging in physical activities, use the shirt as a sleeve-less shirt, by removing the sleeves (which will be attached to the shirt using a sustainable adhesive mechanism) and if you feel the need for more, then even remove the short-sleeves and use it as a vest (as an undergarment).
In this way we will be manufacturing a cloth which will be multi-functional, hence increasing its demand in general public.

a boutique where there are no clothes.. only customisation equipment.. select your apparel: SHIRT/TROUSERS/SKIRTS/TOPS/HATS/THREE-FOURTHS, apply the designs you like to have on it, customize it as you want it according to your specifications and order it..

How about making this as a uniform in a School/College? Different colors would differentiate them studying in different classes. Though they are looking bore or dull students should have to wear to enter the School/College premises, this can make the stock sell over night and makes the manufacturer live and sell the same clothes as long as the school/college survives.
So, the clothes can be sold out and make the business regular.

first of all the clothes should be classified well and placed accordingly which is not done here.
there should be a franchisee kind of thing like: refer to your friend and get additional discount.so,people will refer to their friends and then the publicity increases.the discount could be given from the amount which was not used for advertising the product.
and basically the cost factor many people dont even think of having a look to some products because of the misconception about the prices of them.so, the publicity should be in such a way that it indicates its price in a proper way rather than giving extra hype than what is existing or degrading itself.
clothes like other goods cannot be purchased online because the design or size or color may be misleading and many people doesn't want to loose the joy of shopping.so, online shopping may not be so effective in this case and letting them know about the new designs and collections may help for people.

The picture shows a terrible way which is neither attractive nor customer friendly.Its more often not the case everywhere , hence the need of opening up of an consultancy firm .There is a need to address the issues of Hangers , color arrangement ,use of mannequin, spacing , manoeuvring etc. etc.

I have not seen good beachwear / swimware kiosks at Indian beaches..
Specially suitable as many Indian women still like to moove out of their house in traditional attire..and conveniently forget to carry swimming costumes along... We can also include swimware for Men and children..
The stands in the picture looks handy and thus can be put at strategic points on the beach..
I also want to add a changing room 4ft x 4ft x 6 ft (l x b x ht)
Revenue sources:
1) Swim ware can be offered for sale or on rent
2) For people who dont want to buy or rent the clothes we can also offer the changing room for rent to help them change their wet clothes ..at a reasonable changing room rent..
3) Rent of swim ware only for Photo Session

In today's scenario customers are overwhelmed with the choice available , so apparel companies have to differentiate themselves from the rest . A good way to do this would be to target a particular section of customers like college going girls by taking the clothes that suit that demographic to a particular location in a mobile shopping van . The vehicle can be parked where it is allowed to park and this can be advertised to the particular demographic . This will look very attractive to the customers since they dont have to travel and not bombarded with choices as in a huge store . Some other demographics like working men and women in a commercial area , or kids wear in residential society s can be considered.

Create a software which will accept a photograph and some vital body statistics to generate a virtual personality of the shopper.
Prospective customer should come to our clothing virtual store , submit their full length picture and some vital statistics for fitments and browse through complete range of offering online. Select five or upto 10 or more styles and preferred colours and see online how they will look as they have submitted their photograph.
Once they have selected styles, type of cloths and preferred colours, they must select outlet(May be nearest) where they would like to go for trial and fitment and select date and time (Appointment). Selected type of clothes can be shipped from a central warehouse to this outlet to cater to the customer trial and customer can try them there and if find suitable, can purchase.
Advantages of this model. :
1. Only central inventory to be kept and hence, saves on inventory costs. (can be kept per city / state as logistics permits / demand permits).

The Indian Middle Class is already spoilt for choice when it comes to Garments. As for the retailers, the high real estate prices in urban localities discourages them from offering lucrative discounts without compromising on margins.
An effective differentiating strategy would be to employ a door-to door franchisee network of semi-skilled salesgirl & salesmen, who can be headquartered at a suitably central location for a given locality. Each sales agent can be equipped with a portable setup consisting of 10-12 hangers and 3-4 rods required to setup the stand. (S)he can be expected to carry 4-5 different samples with 2-3 pieces each. The target market could be housewifes and the young college-going crowd.
The potential is enormous...

Today when buying garments we don't get to know if we are getting a fair deal. In the back of our minds we think if a different shop would be retailing the same garment for us. The concept is a universal bar code and a bar code scanner placed near the garment display. When the customer scans the garment, he or she gets to see the comparative prices of the same garment/category of garment at a different store. Now you will know if a sale is really genuine or not.

All i see from the picture is a set of dull clothes sitting on th rails and wanting people to select them wait for the trial room to be vacant, try them on and if it fits,release them from being hanged for a long time.
This may sound as crazy as it can get, future of fashion retailing would
be virtual clothes in 3D suspended in a store...no rails at all and all a customer has to do is select and it would get beamed on the customer with the fit he/she wants and also suggesting the right size.
Also the customer can change the color from the range available to see which one matches his/her bod.
This surely takes away the pain of multiple rounds to the changing room & finding the right size .This would revolutionize the way Fashion is retailed...and my 2 cents ends here.

My views of business on above picture is as follows.
1. The cloths showcased above is same old colours, hence my idea is to start ready garment company which will make the varities and more fashionable cloths as per the gender, age etc and start the good showroom to showcase those apparels.
2. Another thing is that the picure shows wooden hanger which is more concerned to environment, hence my idea is to make the showreem go green by making the hangers of other material which will be cost effective and lighter in weight. Also tha stand consumes more space, hence make some good alternate stands to showcase those cloths.

One can save money and space by stacking clothes instead of hanging them as shown in the picture - moreover, hangars consume wood or plastic. Also clothes will attract dust and become soiled faster when hung.

Most of the manpower in garment shops are engaged in folding the shirts and T Shirts which is a routine, tiring, boring and time consuming job. We can design a T shirt folding machine which can fold the Tshirts opened up by the customers to have a view or taken by them for trial and rejected or accepted and thus should be repacked for delivery. India is getting younger and younger day by day/ year by year. Coming generation is more mature and intelligent. Kids makes their own choices. With the sense of fashion , convenience of plastic money they are buying stuffs which they like most.
Currently ,most of the Indian retails address only to adult generation [21yrs-30yrs]. Kids segment is still untouched.
Having a shopping mall dedicated to kids will be interesting and crowd pulling concept. This shopping mall will showcase latest fashion trend of market in kids cloths,toys, books,stationary, etc. All together a complete solution for kids and related purchases.

What's seen in the picture is the raw product.We have stores for pimping our cars,bikes,and other possessions..But what about customizing our own dresses?? This is a boutique where in our customers are shown the dress design.They can pick from a variety of customization options like color,size, adding a word, name or Swarovski crystals or adding appliqués!

I see that there are a lot of wooden hangers being used. Wood is growing to be scarce, also the value that it is adding to the display can be achieved by using hangers made of lesser cost & durable material like plastic. Also more hangers can be bought when the cost is less so that more clothes are displayed, resulting in more sales.

The Clothes put up their are very generalized in a way that the feel of the cloth is similar although with varying sizes.
My idea would be to have a "Interactive kiosk" installed at every outlet in which the target audience can try the generalized cloth for size verification & customize their cloth from the options available at the kiosk.
Process: 1.)In Kiosk customer have to enter the product & size first which can be verified by physically checking it.
2.)Then Customer can choose their colors & content to be put on the cloth if they want to.
3.) Additional features can also be added depending upon the requirement.
4.) Customer can order from Kiosk or through Check out counters & the product would be delivered to their house or wherever they want to ship it in India.
Benefits:
1. Would save lot of inventory cost.
2. Customized the product & make it more customer specific.
3. All the kiosks would be connected to server which would reduce processing time.
4. User friendly & cost effective.

At the Weight Loss Fashion Boutique, members can come and buy a whole set of clothes and also join a rigorous diet and exercise program. As they keep losing weight and their clothes become loose they can replace it with the same design but one size smaller. That ways they can shed weight without worrying about the wardrobe costs.

My idea is more centric for a blend of Information Technology - Charity Services and Reward Points.
Description:-
My idea is to bring up an online Apparel Portal where users can register by creating an account.

My business idea is to provide "match your mood" colours. The idea is to target teens with standard Tees and merchandise and they can choose the color and a large print from the set of standard colours and prints. Use of vegetable dyes and hand print blocks can make it more economic and environment friendly.

I can Understand that the dresses are Ladies Tops.
But the colors and Type of dresses are misplaced. Even (Please go back and Notice) the clothes behind the bar-hanger is not so easily accesible. Ladies will like to Try them first just by putting them on themselves before they approach the Trial Room. So please some one Tell the Shop to arrange it properly according to Colors, then Type, and Placement.
Teen girls may approach the Pink or Red ones but little mature ladies (Forgive my english) may try the Black or white Ones. So target the age group properly I would say. Looks like there are only 3 garments of each type,so let's call it a "Limited Edition" sale and sell it with the hangars(of course at a higher price).
Keep this rack separated from the others to give it an exclusive status with a "Limited Edition" placard on top of the rack.

Display Simplified Inc. Selling experience enhancement and Space saving are the key benefits. The rack will have a single sample to allow product touch and feel (imp in retail selling). It will also have a digi cam attached to it which will take a bust sized pic of the customer and show the product as if worn while recommending the right size etc. Customer can then by the flick of a button wee the various colour options too.

Instead, there could be just one garment to display the style, fabric, color, finish etc. And by use of technology, one can deploy mass customization which means once a customer has liked a garment his/her body can be scanned and the master pattern of that garment can be graded to his/her size and manufactured. Customer would get the perfect fit and the storekeeper can display more designs and colors.

Re-Design display system starting from hangers. The manufacturing of Redesigned Hangers itself is very big opportunity for many manufacturers for years.
First, the hangers have to redesigned NotToBeSeen, so small but holding.
Second, they have to be designed to display the product properly, so designed to be at an angle even when hung on the rod. this can be achieved by only redesigning the hanger or combining the Rod+Hanger Redesign.
Third, the material. It can be made from new polymers which can replicate the human form, go give the exact appearance at the same time be strong enough.
I can go on and actually give the details of design itself, but this is not the place (not enough space also)

All I see is the clutter. Visual merchandisers mostly use graphical software to depict in store display options. Retail stores keep attendants to display items as prescribed. Yet it is never perfect. There is a need for a database back ended application for determining the sequence order based on style, color and sizes so that the display looks perfect and have touch screens at strategic store locations where customers could get more info on any product on display

Above picture can be concieved as the volume of Clothes various brands all over the Globe has but no standardisation in the case of the Hangers on which these clothes are diplayed all over various Shops. There is a HUGE business potential for branded disposable Hangers which can be customised for each brand. The customer not only takes the garment home but also the disposable BRANDED hanger which will keep on flashing in his wardrobe to motivate him for further sales of that brand........understanding that would be the only aspect in entire cupboard advertising the brand the buying motivation for the particular brand will be very High.
