Majmudar, an avid sports lover, was in the Maharashtra badminton team and in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai football team. He is an alumnus of IIT Mumbai and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has played a key role in inking partnerships between Sportz Consult and the world’s leading marketers and media networks. Over the years, with his deep skill set, the company has built strong relationships with sponsors, media, the government, federations, sports associations and athletes, and has a strong presence across the country.
In 2009, Majmudar started EduSports, a venture to make sports a fun and integrated activity for the school-going population. EduSports partners with schools, the government and NGOs across the country and helps develop healthy and fit schoolchildren through sports. The company’s flagship program, SOAR, is India’s first school sports management platform. It helps schools improve the overall quality of the physical education (PE) and sports experience through various services/products, like age-appropriate PE curriculum, age-appropriate props, daily lesson plans, teacher training, parent workshops and individualised fitness reports. Currently, 35 schools in 20+ cities run the SOAR programme. EduSports touches the lives of over 30,000 children, 1000+ teachers and 20,000+ parents across the country. The company employs 140 people and has a turnover of `4-5 crore.
Prior to EduSports, Majmudar was the Founder-Director of Sportz Village, one of India’s leading sports consulting and management services firms; Founder-CEO of QSupport, one of India’s first remote tech support businesses; and in the international marketing team of Wipro Global R&D.
