Gupta has over 25 years of successful entrepreneurial experience and is the Chairman of Bodhtree. At the time the company was set up, it offered niche Web services and tied up with reputed organisations like Hewlett-Packard and AU System (Sweden). Gupta then led the company to expand into other high-growth areas, like data quality management and business analytics, and partnered with leading healthcare giants in the US. He initiated a strategic business unit within the company focused on new media delivery and archival services to the publication industry. This has led to a separate corporate entity, Pressmart Media Limited.
Gupta has also co-founded Trylah, a first-of-its-kind B2B mobile search classifieds service based in Malaysia. The company is now expanding rapidly across South East Asia. His other venture, 24x7guru.com, is an education e-assessment portal. The company claims it is the only portal of its kind to have served over 2.7 million students offline.
Bodhtree offerings comprise of customised solutions and services in technology incubation, product engineering, business intelligence, data management, SOA consulting, CRM consulting, analytics, enterprise architecture, offshore advisory services and e-commerce. The company collaborates with reputed software vendors from the Silicon Valley for implementation and development of solutions. Bodhtree customers include Fortune 500, Fortune 250 and Forbes 200 best small companies.
Bodhtree is a public listed company and has investments and interests in other niche business areas, including e-publishing, e-learning and mobile classifieds search.
