Under the leadership of C. S. Bhaskar, Founder, Managing Director and CEO, Naturol has raised a total investment of Rs 140 crore (USD 32 million).Mr. Bhaskar is a seasoned professional in industrial management, marketing and sales and is the brain behind the business. He began his professional career as an Advanced Engineering Consultant with Ford Motor Company in USA. He is an Advisory and Monitoring Committee member for the bio-processes and bio-products programme of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council , Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Naturol is among the top three global producers of biodiesel and related products with a production capacity of 30 million gallons per year of biodiesel and 10,000 tonnes per year of pharmaceutical grade glycerin. Within three months of commercial production, in June 2008, Naturol earned the distinction of being India’s first exporter of biodiesel. With an advanced biodiesel facility which has the capability to use multiple grades of vegetable oils including fatty acid oils, the company is way ahead of its competition. As a result of its unique configuration and scalability, Naturol has been highly successful in reducing the cost of production as compared to its competitors. The company is also on the track to produce electricity from biodiesel. It plans to generate 120 megawatts of power with an investment of about Rs600 crore.
