MChek makes your cellphone act like a debit card. It is a mobile-based secure transaction platform that can be used for remote authentication, authorization and notification of payments from your bank account using your mobile phone. Its services are available to almost everyone who owns a mobile phone and has a bank account. For this, the company has tied up with a slew of banks and telecom service providers. SIM cards from Airtel, Vodafone, TATA Indicom, TATA Docomo, etc. come with the mChek application preloaded. One of the first companies to be certified by Western Union, mChek plans to soon start OTC (over the counter) transactions in India as it is already doing in Sri Lanka with its partner Dialog. Other plans include expanding business to Asian and African countries.
