“Spare Change Ultimate Payment Wall” Provides a Comprehensive Payment Solution for Developers and Consumers on Facebook and MySpace

PlaySpan announced the release of its new Spare Change Ultimate Payment Wall that enables social network game developers to more effectively monetize their games and apps. The Ultimate Payment Wall provides over 50 payment methods including credit cards and PayPal in one simple iFrame implementation, giving consumers the ability to select relevant and familiar payment methods by their country and the convenience to pay in their local currency.

Spare Change's Ultimate Payment Wall is similar to existing offer walls, but is designed specifically for direct payments. Much of Facebook's growth is now coming from international markets, and developers are focusing more and more on how to capitalize on these new international users. The payment wall solves this need with a plethora of international payment methods that match the footprint of the social networking user base. The payment wall also caters to the youth demographic with many mobile, game card, coupon, and voucher-based options. One such option is the Ultimate Game Card, which is a prepaid card that is available in 45,000 retail locations across North America.

"The Ultimate Payment Wall solves several issues facing game developers and publishers today", said Lex Bayer, General Manager of Social Networking Monetization at PlaySpan. "Developers realize that providing additional payment methods drives increased monetization and payment conversion, but the logistics and integration requirements for all the various methods form a major barrier to implementation. Now developers can gain access to every payment method they will ever need, all under one roof. The payment wall also presents these various methods to users in a simple fashion that enables them to quickly pick the payment brands they already recognize and prefer."

"It was very easy for us to add the Ultimate Payment Wall to our apps. The new interface has a nice, clean layout that combines a variety of payment methods, and has already made an immediate impact on our business," commented John Fan, Co-Founder of Cardinal Blue Software, and designer of the Friend Stock and Travel Balloon applications on Facebook.

Ultimate Payment Wall is accepted in over 30 countries, including the US, Canada, and the European Union.
