Secretary Department of Heavy Industry Dr. Satyanarayan Dash launched a new product ‘Red Scanner Film’. The product designed and developed by Hindustan Photo Films Mfg. Ltd , a public sector undertaking under the administrative control of DHI, is the basic raw material for the printing industry. The Film is sensitive to Red and Far Red region of the color spectrum and gives excellent image quality, good sharpness and high practical density. The product has special features of high processing speed, compatible to rapid access developers and fixers. The product has wider applications in silkscreen printing, textile printing, offset printing, ceramic industry, hospitals using X-ray films.
Launching the product, the Secretary commended the role being played by the company in providing the products of use to the common man at affordable prices in spite of tough competition from foreign film producers. CMD of HPFM Ltd. Jagdeeswaran and other officials were also present on the occasion.
