Sandeep Maheshwari, founder of ImagesBazaar.com has bagged the coveted Star Youth Achiever Award instituted by the Global Youth Marketing Forum 2010. In the Forum’s second edition held in Mumbai from 9th to 10th February 2010, achievers from the fields of marketing, advertising and branding were chosen for their exemplary contribution to their domains.

The Global Youth Marketing Forum is an exclusive congregation of brand specialists, marketing professionals, researchers, who are the brains behind some of the most successful and appealing youth centric brands in fashion, lifestyle, sports, technology, music or anything that appeals to the youth.

The panel which chose the achievers included Dheeraj Sinha, Chief Strategy Officer, Bates 141; Dev Amritesh, Vice President Marketing, Domino’s Pizza, and Jay Gupta, Managing Director, The Loot along with Suman Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer, Euro RSCG, who chaired the panel.

On being bestowed with the award, Sandeep said, “Being selected as Star Youth Achiever is a huge honour for me. A freelance photographer turned entrepreneur, Sandeep Maheshwari, was quick to take cue from the needs of the Indian advertising and marketing industry of the ready availability of stock images. He realised that the commercial stock photography, which was a US$ 1.5 billion industry globally, was virtually absent in India. He thus launched ImagesBazaar.com in the year 2006.
