The Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Murli Deora, finalized the oil sector Vision - 2015 for ‘Consumer Satisfaction and Beyond’ in a CEO Conclave at Goa. The Vision would focus on providing better services to customers which in a way means all the citizens of the country as each individual in some way or the other is a consumer of oil. The Vision with regard to the customers would cover four broad areas i.e. LPG, Kerosene, Auto Fuels and CNG/PNG.
With regard to LPG, pace of new connections would be increased substantially. Switchover from kerosene to LPG, anti pilferage, portability of connections are other areas with regard to LPG where the work would be done. With regard to kerosene steps would be taken in the field of kerosene distribution and packaging. Better use of technology for ensuring quality and quantity to consumers vis-a-vis auto fuels would be the focus. As regard with CNG/PNG, its coverage would be increased to 200 cities by 2015.
