NIS-Sparta Ltd. signs an MoU with IGNOU for the Ministry of Rural Development SGSY Special Project

Rural Training & Employment is one of the most important employment generation programs of Central government where NIS-Sparta from Reliance ADA Group has partnered with Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and IGNOU under SGSY-Special Project scheme to implement the project in the Public -Private- Partnership (PPP) mode to create employment for rural BPL( below poverty line) youth.

The Skills Development mission has become a race against time. Objective of having a 500 million skilled workforce by 2022 has placed huge demands on the training capabilities in the country. This MoU will channelize the efforts towards making the youth trained and employed. NIS-Sparta will source and train candidates in 15 states for placement in the Telecom & BPO sector. They will be using Information & Communication Technologies extensively for blended technology based training and to manage and control the project on a pan India basis and train 24000 candidates in the first phase, & place them in private sector with right opportunity. This activity is starting immediately, in various States, gradually covering all 15 States within the next 3 months. In the next phase, NIS is gearing up to a target of 100,000 beneficiaries per year, under this project, covering all domains.

Present on the occasion, Goutam Roy, Executive Sr. Vice President, NIS-Sparta mentioned, "It is an honor to sign a MoU with IGNOU for the Ministry of Rural Development. The focus will be to help youth for upgrading there skills and finding suitable employment. This initiative is an example of NIS-Sparta's commitment towards the skill building requirements for Indian youth."

"The training is conducted in two sectors IT & Telecom and is a very useful scheme for rural population. This program will help 24000 people PAN India." underscored Prof. C G Naidu, Director, School of Vocational Education & Training IGNOU.

To start with NIS-Sparta has tied up with several Telecom & BPO companies in addition to the manpower requirement within ADAG group. The rural youth will be trained for atleast 150 hours and then placed in different sectors in sales & service for next 3 months across various private companies in telecom & BPO sector. IGNOU, the monitoring and certification partner in this program, will be actively monitoring the entire project and certifying the students.
