The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has undertaken formulation of its Work Plan for 2009-10 which includes invitation of bids for 38 projects under the National Highways Development Programme (NHDP) on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis. The approximate cost of the projects is Rs.42, 331 crores. The projects cover 7 projects in NHDP Phase II, 23 projects in NHDP Phase III, 7 projects under NHDP Phase V and one project under NHDP phase VII.
