A recovery syndrome in employment generation has started resurfacing in NCR during the first four months of FY 10, which witnessed 17.1% surge in jobs creation as compared to last four months of FY 09, according to ASSOCHAM Placement Pattern (APP). The APP Study titled “Job Opportunities in the National Capital” concludes that between April - July 2009, 49,750 openings were created at different levels in the entire National Capital Region, comprising Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad as compared to 42,501 openings between December-March 08-09.
ASSOCHAM Secretary General, D S Rawat said that out of total 49,750 number of sample job openings in the region, 46.4 per cent are accounted by the Delhi region while remaining 53.6 per cent went to different parts of NCR.
With an improving scenario in the job creation process for the capital city, the overall situation in the employment sector is likely to be picking up as the signs of economic downturn diminish significantly, added Rawat.
