Exchange Description: Exchange Description: I am a management graduate with more than a decade of industry experience planning to start a laundromat business. During my college & career days, while staying away from home the biggest task was laundry. The entire holiday was absorbed in washing clothes & other fabrics. Apart from the time involved & stress generated in the process. And this was not only a challenge with me but with most of the similar community. Dry cleaning every time was neither affordable nor was suitable for the longevity of the fabric.

Today i see an increasing population of students, single professionals & working couples (Priority segments) around already stressed out in a 9 to 9 role & losing the excitement of a weekend in doing the laundry. Struggle to find a suitable option is still at large. Dry cleaning is expensive. Rest of the options include getting them washed through a Dhobi or engage a house maid or do it yourself. The dhobi & the house maid have their own whim & fancies that more often than not are beyond reasoning & reliability.

Apart from the segments already mentioned above few more rewarding segments are available that offer potential for annual tie ups. Families can also be targeted at later stages. The lack of proper water distribution & availability across areas with in city during summers offers a greater advantage to the business.

I plan to start a chain of laundromat in India. The objective is to provide express wash convenience to customers economically through two business models based on the market segments.
Business Model: -
(1) Get the clothes & fabrics washed on per kilogram basis.
(2) Get the clothes washed on a per wash cycle basis with delivery within one or two hours. The second model is self-service oriented.

The project is less capital intensive, sustainable & readily scale able as most of Indian cities are emerging economies around education, tourism, better career prospects etc.

I require seed capital / start up funding to start the venture. Capital required is in the range of $100000 to $150000 (50 lac to 1 crore in Indian Rupees). ROI is fast & expected growth stands at at-least 25% annually.
