Exchange Description: Indian Logistics Industries is valued at US$ 110 billion. ASSOCHAM’s knowledge chamber projected growth of 17% for a couple of years. Normal estimation of growth with GDP growth of 8% will be 8% on CAGR. 3PL segment expected to be a US$90 million industry by 2012.
To support impressive growth in this segment it is required to think out of box after looking at the some critical scenario;
1. India’s Annual Logistics costs 14% of GDP; it is almost double of international standard.
2. Standardization of logistics could cover fiscal deficit of India (5% of GDP).
3. 99% logistics is in unorganized segment. This segment is lacking with:
a. Economy of Scale
b. Poor Physical and communication Infrastructure due to lack of resources
c. Unavailability and absence of a seamless flow of information.
4. In a survey conducted by Orkash, it has been revealed that :
a. 45% Reason of delay caused due to lack of infrastructure in network and organization level.
b. 67% of demand and supply Gap is due to idle truck and unutilized drivers and 23% due to lack of information.
Hence, only by adaptation of proper system and flow of information both from Demand and Supply Side, cost could be drastically brought down. It is demand of time to go for:
1. A common system establishment: A common system where ‘wants’ and "haves" have presence. A yield management system formation could further be strengthened.
2. Community Formations: 99% of unorganized segment can’t afford to provide 3PL with customer satisfaction level a way to combine them.
3. Community Bargaining: Both demand and supply side should be ready for a community bargaining and disclosure of rate, time and like information freely to create a win-win situation. It will decrease idle time and increase turn around as well as resource utilization.
4. Network Connection: In spite of being adhere to have movement by one mode of transportation, flexibility to utilize the available resources/mode to gain maximum return will be provided. Information flow from multiple systems to one point could bring this quality.
5. One window solution: The system integration and Virtual Global Organization formation will create one window solution for shipper. Hence, maximum business flow could be attracted.
I need an opportunity to frame a system that could serve the purpose. I have already developed a business modal just need a investment. Open to discuss my modal with sincere invetors.
Hence,
