Join the 5 km run for entrepreneurship at Enterprising India Running and Living, Gurgaon, on Saturday December 4th.

As a run up to the forthcoming TiE Entrepreneurial Summit 2010,  The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) is organizing a 5 km run for entrepreneurship at Gurgaon on Saturday, December 4th . The innovative run hopes to test the spirit of an entrepreneur. TiE believes that the life of an entrepreneur is much like a marathon runner. It's not a sprint to the finish line but a steady, methodical progression. The 5 km run is being organized by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Delhi Chapter in association with Running and Living, a company engaged in promoting running among Indians. Just like entrepreneurs are prudent with cash at the start up phase, and then get bullish as scale has to set in, long distance runners are prudent with energy at the start and tend to pick up pace in the second half of the run, surging past competitors in the closing stages of the run.

Similarly in entrepreneurship, it’s not about how much cash you have and how good your business plan, but determination to succeed against all odds and toughness to negotiate the obstacles."

Bringing together the synergies of both worlds – the world of marathon running and entrepreneurship -- TiE invites entrepreneurs to come forward, collaborate and join the race. A nominal fee for registration – Rs 700 – which will go towards making the race a comfortable one, is being charged at the professionally conducted event. For those wanting to network after the run, there is a post race dinner with a cover charge of Rs 700 per head.
