| Divita Kanoria Founder of Tatha Wellness Products |
We have been reading several newspapers reports about the growth of Indian Wellness industry and thus we thought of bringing someone from the industry itself who can shed lights on the industry dynamics. DARE August Webinar third day brought Divita Kanoria, Founder of Tatha Wellness Products.
In the session Kanoria shared quite a few insightful tactics of doing business in wellness industry. However the suggested steps are equally applicable for entrepreneurs of all domains. She shared her experience of making Tatha an accepted brand in the Indian wellness industry as well.
Kanoria suggested entrepreneurs the following:
Ø Believe in your idea, be passionate about it. You need to eat, breath, sleep on your thought, believe to fulfill your dream.
Ø Connect with people who can inspire you. That inspiration can come from anything in the world.
Ø Start off with what you believe on. Perfection is not required in the first level.
Ø Finance is important but unless you have a passion for your business idea-it won’t help. Let your passion comes along with finance.
Ø Feedback is crucial. Pay attention to them and see who are giving those feedbacks. Is it coming from your friend, family? A negative feedback is more inspiring than a fake positive feedback. It is the criticism that helps to grow.
Ø Passion is required with commercial viability. To get that commercial viability you should not think of attaining all in one day.
Ø Be honest to your customers, she said she practiced what she had preached. .
Ø Genius is one per cent perspiration and 99 per cent inspiration. Inspiration helps to stay focused.
Ø You have to be unique in your approach. She said, “We were never satisfied-we constantly keep innovating-innovation has to be coupled with excellence and quality. For example we have created essential oils matching with people's zodiac signs which has not done by anybody.”
Ø To be successful learn to listen others-being Indian we only want to talk-but if you listen you will get lot of ideas driving in.
Ø Before marketing your products, market yourself. She said, “That's the reason I have not used any brand ambassador for my products.”
Ø It’s good to start small than to wrap up quickly. Kanoria said, “We started small, kept innovating. Thus I believe thinking, innovating and inspiring are key parameters to achieve success.”
