At TES 2011, he struck a cautionary note calling on Indian businessmen to work towards reducing inefficiencies. Rekhi says that's the biggest reason why India is still lagging behind China a big deal.
Here are some important take always from what Rekhi had to tell the budding entrepreneurs:
- Nobody knows who is going to be a successful entrepreneur.
- No great entrepreneur is born because of his genes.
- Entrepreneurship is not something that you are born with. It’s a skill that is cultivated and developed over time.
- One should be willing to take risks and not look for the easy
- settlement path if you want to make it big.
- Discover yourself. Nobody else will.
- Starting a venture on your own involves complete dedication and
- focus. It’s like doing tapasya - where nothing else matters and nothing gets in the way of reaching your goal.
- It is very important to be self motivated and to seek answers when
- you’re stuck.
While leaving, Rekhi's parting words were "Get help. Be generous. Help others."
