At Nashik, the event was conducted on 29th April, 2011 at the Gateway Hotel, Ambad and received an overwhelming footfall of about 125 CEOs and business owners. The inaugural address was given by Venkat R. Venkitachalam, CEO- BizSol.
Event Highlights
Nashik, the little town in the Sahyadris which is about a 30-minute flight from Mumbai, is a hub for engineering and automobile industries, and one of the fastest growing industrial hubs in Maharashtra.
Given the importance of logistics and infrastructure, the audience engaged with the logistics mentor, Chandrashekar Pitre, Senior Director for Marketing, DHL with loads of questions. He plunged into an impromptu lesson on the economics of scale and demand and supply. Habeeb Nizamuddin, Marketing and Branding Mentor from Lodestar talked about how branding is more than advertising. “You build a brand to speak to your customer since you yourself cannot speak to each of them directly,” he explained.

The unanimous opinion of the audience was that technology is becoming expensive. CEOs were urged by the panelists to look at technology as a long term performance investment and not as a short term profit and loss item. The other members of the panel were Kashif Khan, CRISIL (finance mentor), Utkarsh Bedmutha, Karma Consultants (HR mentor), Dr Rajeev Papneja, ESDS Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd.(IT mentor).
