The perils of being an entrepreneur

You wake up, rush off to office. Work the entire day. Most of the times the day doesn't end before 10 pm or in some cases lasts up to 12 am. Often there are days when you have to skip lunch and survive on just tea/coffee. So by the time you wrap up things you are zapped off energy and are not even in a state to turn off the lights and just hit the sack! Morning you wake up and the realize that last night you dreamt about the next client meeting. As a result of this you often start the day thinking that there's loads still pending and you repeat the same cycle again. No, weekends are no different and often you are working on Saturdays-Sundays as well, though the intensity of work is a little less.
After some days you realize that there's a friend / relative to whom you haven't called since a long time. You plan to call him after work the same day. But suddenly something urgent comes up and you forget to call him. After a couple of days he calls up instead. As soon as you receive the call there is a sudden blast of abuses and by the time you pacify things, you've lost all your enthu to talk to him. Just blabber for a while and then hang up the call. No, you are not relaxed or feeling good by talking to him, instead end up cursing yourself that why didn't you call first. Plan for the next time and then the same story repeats...
A few times you try to explain things about how your life is and you get a response "as if i have never worked in life!!!" how do you explain that? Importantly, they are the ones who have never experienced entrepreneurship, even from a distance! But still you can't say that, can you? Neither do you want to say something that might hurt them!
Now, all of us have a dozen friends and a few relatives whom you want to be in touch. So someone or the other always ends up talking in a similar fashion!

Not exactly complaining but I am definitely looking for answers from fellow entrepreneurs how to answer/tackle the situation?

Thanks a lot Ravitej for dropping your thoughts. I guess the '30 second' method is great and from now on I would try to apply the same :)

This is the sort of situation that most of us go through at some time or other. Earlier on I used to feel stressed too but then I realized that this was also a part of my responsibility so when ever I felt that I haven't chatted with a pal or relative for a while I just pick up my cell and call up or just drop in an SMS. The work is endless and we often indulge a bit too much into it without realizing the toll of buring candles at both end that our lives have to pay. If someone calls me up and starts hurling abuses at me for not being in touch then I simply pretend that the network is weak and cut of the line and call back after 30 seconds. By that time the person has usually calmed down as they have already vented and calmly explain that even they didn't bother to call any sooner so why are they complaining but along with that I also promise to stay in touch and make sure that I do.
